Room Assignment

1. This StarRez portal will open on Monday, February 2, 2025, to accept applications for new students for 2026 -2027 term
2. All new students entering as new freshmen, freshmen, and sophomores, are required to live on campus. 
3. You must be accepted to the University before applying for Housing
4. Take the steps to apply for Housing as soon as you have been accepted to the University
5. You must have access to your ECSU email to apply for Housing. Contact IT should you have issues at 252-335-3532
6. Visit our website Housing (ecsu.edu)

a.       Pay the $150.00 nonrefundable application fee online Home | StarRez Portal 

b.       Complete the application

c.       Make meal plan and roommate selections

d.       Sign your Housing Agreement

Please be advised of the following:

• New Freshmen, Freshmen, and Sophomores are required to live on campus. All New Freshmen must log in and complete the application to live on campus or complete the Exception Application

• You must have access to your ECSU email account and know your banner ID number to sign up for Housing
• We do not accept payment over the phone
• New freshmen will be assigned to double occupancy rooms
• New Freshmen & Freshmen must select the 19 Meal Plan
• The priority deadline to apply for Housing for term 2026-2027 is June 1, 2026 (New & Transfers)
• Housing is limited and not guaranteed
• Assignments are made based on room availability
